The Boy & The Rose

The Boy & The Rose

The secret ingredient to boutique restaurant The Boy & The Rose is love.

It’s not everyday you’re asked to craft a couple’s relationship into a brand identity.

Design for The Boy & The Rose – a beachside restaurant situated on the Central Coast – draws inspiration from the venue’s namesake and children’s picture book The Little Prince.

Through use of hand-illustrated roses, typeface, and crisp neutral tones, personality plays on the owners’ successful working partnership and love for one another. Collateral is distinctive in shape, size and tone, echoing the youth and humour behind the brand.

The Community

Menus and coffee cards embrace the ideology of community, sitting comfortably within the area’s elegant reputation.

They encapsulated so much of what was important to us, and put their soul into it too. We consistently get compliments on our design and I’m always so proud to tell them who did it and where it came from.

The Balance

Playful, romantic, and a little bit whimsical, The Boy & The Rose balances the best of masculine and feminine design – visually embodying the harmonious relationship of its founders.
