Social Media Intern

Being Brands is looking for energetic interns with a keen interest in social media marketing. Working across several accounts ranging from retail to hospitality, you’ll be required to assist our team in producing high quality content. You’ll also be responsible for engaging with followers and building organic relationships with relevant people, businesses or potential customers for the respective businesses

Roles and responsibilities:

Community Management

    • Scheduling social media content
    • Monitoring conversations and responding when necessary
    • Building relevant online communities with strategic tactics
    • Compiling hashtags relevant to the unique company’s field
    • Engaging with potential influencers
    • Using tracking software, such as Google Analytics and Bitly

Content Creation

    • Basic content creation (image resizing and artwork output from existing templates)
    • Generation of campaign theming/original ideas
    • Assistance on photoshoots/video shoots, working with stylists and creative directors

Social Strategy

    • Research into competitors and market trends
    • Execution of existing social media strategies and help with the development of new strategies (brainstorming sessions)
    • Reporting on campaigns to ensure effectiveness of content

Skills required:

  • Experience writing short-form captions for social media
  • Basic image editing experience (Photoshop) is commended, but not essential
  • Ability to work amongst a team of creatives, including the Head of Creative, Head of Design and Digital Content Manager
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Creativity and personality
  • Experience working within a team or office environment is commended, but not essential
